Thesis, meet Day Job. Day Job, meet Thesis.
Neogeography made a cameo appearance last week on the blog I write for my job as a copywriter at Chronicle Books. I plugged a long list of Chronicle titles into Google Book Search to test their mashup feature: “locations mentioned in this book.” It was a disappointing exercise… I had to enter a LOT of books before I found a decent enough range to blog about. Plus, I only wanted to include books that I actually really like, so that took some finessing… In the end, Maverick’s, Hatch Show Print, and Craig Ferguson’s novel Between the Bridge and River all got a shout-out, as did good old Burritoeater’s Platial map.
Speaking of which, it turns out our Web Manager went to highschool with the Burritoeater himself! It’s a small world, especially when you start mapping it.
